Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan made a bold statement. He said that he would be picked Yashasvi Jaiswal as a replacement for KL Rahul in the Indian squad for the ICC World Test Championship Final.
Yashasvi Jaiswal smashes the fastest half-century in the history of the IPL
Rajasthan Royals batter Yashasvi Jaiswal set the stage on fire in the IPL 2023 game against KKR. The opening batter took the opposition bowlers to cleaners and smashed them all over the park at Eden Gardens.
While chasing the target of 150 runs, Yashasvi Jaiswal took RR off the flyer as he smashed 26 runs in the first over and then didn’t look back after that. He went on to smash the fastest half-century in the league as he achieved the feat in just 13 balls.
Yashasvi Jaiswal then continued his carnage on the KKR bowlers as he helped his side chase the target in just 13.1 overs. The left-hander ended with the knock of unbeaten 98 runs and batted with a strike rate of over 208, smashing 13 fours and 5 sixes.

Notably, KL Rahul was ruled out of the Indian squad for the ICC WTC Final due to the injury he suffered in the IPL 2023. In his place, BCCI named Ishan Kishan as the replacement.
