Punjab Kings have not cracked the IPL, so far. However, under the new management, they would hope to do well. Here, we look at the pitch report of the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium and the weather conditions in Mohali for IPL 2023.
PBKS will rely on Shikhar Dhawan at the top of the order. With Jonny Bairstow missing out, it will be Dhawan who has to do the bulk of the scoring, accompanied by Prabhsimran Singh. PBKS will hope that Liam Livingstone is fit as he will play a crucial role in the middle-order or in the top-order, depending on where Punjab wants to use him.
Bowling is the strength of Punjab. They have Sam Curran, Arshdeep Singh and Kagiso Rabada as part of the pace attack. Rahul Chahar will lead the spin unit, which also comprises Harpreet Brar and a bit of Liam Livingstone.

The average scores are some of the highest in the tournament at this venue in Mohali. Yes, there is not much when it comes to the teams batting first and second but considering the number of sixes that can be scored here, captains could choose to field first.
Neither the spinners nor the pacers will have things going their way here. However, there are phases when the pacers could find some purchase off the track at the PCA Stadium.

As with most other venues, the temperatures will be high here. Especially in May, which is the hottest month of the year in Mohali, the temperatures could touch as high as 40 degrees Celsius.
When it comes to rainfall, we could see some during the course of IPL. There would be the threat of rainfall on many days, including thunderstorms on certain days.
