RCB fast bowler Mohammed Siraj feels that his franchise will end its title drought this year in the Indian Premier League. RCB qualified for the playoffs last Saturday after the Mumbai Indians beat the Delhi Capitals in their final league game. Bangalore will battle the debutants Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator match tomorrow evening.
Ahead of their match against LSG, RCB pacer Mohammed Siraj had a chat with TimesofIndia.com, where he spoke about the team’s chances of winning the championship. Very few times it has happened that the team that finished fourth on the points wins the title, but the Royal Challengers Bangalore have the winning momentum by their side.
RCB is coming off a win against table-toppers Gujarat Titans in their last match, but the fans should note that Mohammed Siraj was not a part of the playing XI. It will be interesting to see whether he plays against the Lucknow Super Giants tomorrow.
Mohammed Siraj says the playoff is an important stage for RCB
Here’s what Siraj had to say ahead of the IPL 2022 playoffs:
“I am sure RCB will do well and will win the title. We have entered the final thrice. But I am sure we will win the title soon. And that time has come. This is an important stage of the tournament and we are ready to perform. I haven’t had a good season.”
Siddarth Kaul made his debut for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against the Gujarat Titans. The right-arm pacer could not impress much with the ball.
It will be interesting to see whether the RCB team management continues to back him or decides to give a match to Siraj who has played some big games for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the recent past. The game between Bangalore and Lucknow will start at 7:30 PM IST.
