“I Almost Don’t Want To Even Try”- Kevin Owens Explains Why He Does Not Want Another Title Shot At Roman Reigns

Kevin Owens has turned down the idea of going after Roman Reigns and his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The Prizefighter opined that WWE fans want to witness some new and exciting storylines.

During Roman Reigns’ current reign, Kevin Owens has already had two feuds with him and challenged him at Royal Rumble 2021 and 2023. Hence, Owens feels that going after Reigns once again may not much sense. However, the former Universal Champion did not rule out the possibility of being a world champion again in WWE at some point.

Speaking with James Williams, Kevin Owens shed light on his future in the company and a probable feud with Roman Reigns in 2024. Here’s what Owens had to say:

“Well, obviously I’d love that. But I’ll be honest, maybe a little too honest. I don’t think the fans would like that. Because I’ve had my shot at Roman Reigns many many times. For one reason or another, it didn’t work out. I almost don’t want to even try. Because I don’t think that’s what fans want. They’ve seen it. Fans want new exciting things.”

“I don’t think it’s right”- Kevin Owens does not want to fight Roman Reigns for the title again

During the same chat, wens explained further that he would have been selfish to ask for a world title feud because the fans do not want to see the same stuff again and again. Having had two feuds with Roman Reigns himself and a long storyline with The Bloodline members, Owens does not want to do the same thing once again.

“So as much as I wish I could be champion and go for the title again… I don’t think it’s right. So, it’s not in my plans,” Owens signed off.
