After missing the first Test, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma on Monday (19th December) was ruled out of the second Test Bangladesh. This comes as a massive blow considering the series online and WTC final spot.

With this, skipper Rohit will miss 8th out of his last 10 Tests due to injury. In the last year, he hasn’t been a regular part of the Test side. He first missed the two Tests in Australia and then after they were rested for the series against New Zealand.

If this was not enough, he then was injured ahead of the Test series against South Africa, where India lost 2-1. While many expected him to play a crucial role in the rescheduling the fifth Test against England he again was injured and was ruled out of the game.

And now the series against Bangladesh marks another incident, where he couldn’t take part due to injury. Notably, since becoming the full-time skipper, Rohit has played only one Test series and has missed others due to injuries.
