Dhanashree Chahal, the wife of Yuzvendra Chahal, has been regularly in the stands supporting her husband in almost all the games of the ongoing IPL 2022. She was actually with Yuzi in the IPL bubble itself, but yesterday, before Rajasthan’s game against KKR, Dhanashree came out of the bubble,
Dhanashree was, however, still there in the stadium during the game between Royals and KKR to support Chahal and Chahal didn’t disappoint her at all.
The conditions were not easy to bowl last night at the Brabourne Stadium and Chahal actually went for a few runs in his first over, but the way he came back after that was remarkable.
The Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson mostly used Yuzvendra Chahal from the end where the leg side boundary was very short because going towards the short leg side boundary was still a challenge for the right handed batters who were hitting against the spin while facing Chahal.
But, Chahal had to make sure that he didn’t just bowl economical overs for his captain, he took some wickets as well to break the game open for Rajasthan and that’s what he did when he was brought into the attack in the 17th over of the game with the match on the line and either team having equal chances of winning the game.
Yuzvendra Chahal took a hattrick in the 17th over of KKR innings
Chahal took a hattrick in the 17th over dismissing the well set KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer, the tail-ender Shivam Mavi and then the Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins who had already won a game with the bat for KKR in this tournament.
After the game, there was a cute little conversation between Dhanashree and Yuzvendra Chahal where Dhanashree asked Chahal how he was feeling after she was out of the bubble, to that Chahal jokingly answered that he was feeling very good.
In the same conversation, one of the Rajasthan Royals owners, who was also in the stands with Dhanashree, told Chahal “We love you more than she (Dhanashree) does”. The video of the conversation is going viral on twitter.
