Here Is The Reason Why WWE Changed The Name Of Brian Pillman Jr

The man who made quite a few ripples in AEW as Brian Pillman Jr in AEW will now be seen in action at WWE, as he made his debut at the NXT house show as none other than Lexis King. Making an appearance on NXT TV, he already explained why he is not going to use the title of Pillman Jr.

Lexis King made his in-ring debut at WWE after defeating Brooks Jensen on a live event on Friday. This was just the beginning as King went on to defeat Riley Osborne at the Winter Haven Armory in Florida.

For the ones who are still to understand that why Brian Pillman Jr doesn’t want to use the name anymore, King said that he is no one’s junior and the wrestling business also took his father away from him. The name ‘king’ will be an honour to the man who raised him and Alexis is his 30-year-old sister.

Here is what Brian Pillman Jr had to say about his new name

The second generation wrestler left AEW after his contract expired last July. It wasn’t long after that Brian was seen at the WWE Performance Center and he is now going to perform under one of the biggest brands of entertainment wrestling.

Under his AEW contract, he was last seen in action on 13th may, when Alexis tag-teamed with Brock Anderson but failed to beat the Gunns in a house event. Prior to that the last televised appearance was on the 1st of February 2023, where he was seen fighting in a losing cause against Swerve Strickland.

Lexis King can prove to be an instrumental wrestler, considering the fact that he is a very fast mover and extremely agile, and more importantly, given the fact that wrestling is in his blood, he runs the show exceptionally well and ensures the fact that he is getting the job done.
