Paul Heyman’s absence from WWE since SummerSlam 2022 has been explained. In case you forgot, Paul Heyman was F5d through the announce table by Brock Lesnar during his match with Roman Reigns. Roman retained the titles in a hard-fought match that was an absolute war where Heyman tried to get involved for his Tribal Chief and got an F5 for his efforts. He hasn’t since been seen or heard of on either of the shows.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Paul Heyman is not on any shows because he is being shown as injured and recovering from that F5 on the table. He is not a wrestler and just an advocate and needs to be shown as such. He can’t get up right away from a devastating maneuver from a monstrous human being like Lesnar and just walk it off.

When will Paul Heyman return to WWE?
It’s also being speculated that Heyman will return to being the special counsel out of the blue. He will just show up without any prior intimation to get the surprise reaction from the WWE Universe. Lesnar had F5d Heyman earlier too when the manager had gone rogue in 2003 in a steel cage match.
After his loss to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36, the Beast took a long leave from WWE and returned only at the 2021 SummerSlam and feuded with Roman Reigns for the championship. The feud ended with Roman walking away with Universal as well as the WWE title.
It's been a brilliant run for Roman Reigns, one we may never see again. He's beaten the likes of Edge, Brock Lesnar and John Cena – but my favourite moment was his silence for Daniel Bryan's WWE career 😂.#WWE #RomanReigns pic.twitter.com/uLxZSZz9x4

Now that Roman is facing Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle for the Undisputed titles, there is a strong possibility of the wise man returning at the UK PPV to help his Tribal Chief.
It is the adequate setting in a foreign land where odds are stacked against Roman, as it’s Drew’s home turf, for Paul Heyman to make a comeback. He may even show up at the end of the match to save the champ when he is down or be with him all along. It’s a waiting game with September 3.
