Here Is The Reason Why Jimmy Uso Betrayed Jey Uso At WWE SummerSlam 2023

Why Jimmy Uso betrayed his brother Jey at WWE SummerSlam 2023 has been a topic of discussion in the pro wrestling community over the last 24 hours. The main event of SummerSlam 2023 was a Tribal Combat match between the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns and his right-hand man Jey Uso.

Roman Reigns and Jey Uso had a fantastic match, but in the closing moments, Jimmy Uso made a shocking return and surprisingly betrayed his brother, leaving many fans scratching their heads about why he did so. Notably, Jimmy was the first to betray Roman in The Bloodline. Jey was indecisive for a while before he actually agreed to join his brother.

A lot of fans slammed WWE for taking a U-turn in the Bloodline storyline instead of advancing it. However, fans should note that Roman Reigns has decided to go on a break after SummerSlam. WWE had no other way of continuing the Bloodline storyline on SmackDown if Jimmy did not betray Jey.

The only other option would have been Jey Uso vs Solo Sikoa, but it might not have been so compelling as a feud between the two twin brothers. The Bloodline brings in ratings on SmackDown, and a lot of fans will tune into FOX on Friday night to know why Jimmy Uso betrayed his brother.

Possible kayfabe reason for why Jimmy Uso betrayed Jey Uso

While the real reason behind Jimmy’s betrayal is Roman Reigns’ break from WWE, the creative team will have to give a kayfabe explanation to the fans so that the Bloodline storyline continues well on TV.

The one reason which Jimmy can give is that Jey competed in singles division when Jimmy was dealing with an injury and also challenged for the Universal Championship. Once again, at SummerSlam, Jey went for the singles title without Jimmy, and that could be the source of jealousy.
