Match 31 of the Indian Premier League 2023 features the Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Punjab Kings (PBKS), both of whom will be looking to secure two valuable points. MI started the tournament with two straight defeats, but they’ve bounced back well to win their last three games. Rohit Sharma has been inconsistent thus far this season. They’ve gotten off to a strong start in the league, but now they’re at the point in the group stage when their luck will either make or break them.
Some of MI’s players to keep an eye on are Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Tim David, and Arjun Tendulkar. With the ball in hand, MI is counting on Mayank Markande to do well against the Punjab batters. Dhawan is expected to come back after he has fully recovered from his shoulder injury. If Punjab, which is owned by Preity Zinta, wants to win, Liam Livingstone will need to have a strong performance. Sam Curran will captain PBKS again today in the absence of Dhawan.

Rohit has scored 135 runs in five matches for his team, but his batting strike rate of 136.4 is the most impressive statistic. This is a significant improvement from his 120.2 SR from the previous season.
In IPL 2022, he was correctly chastised for wasting the powerplay overs, as his strike rate (SR) in those overs hovered around 124. However, in IPL 2023, he is hitting a terrific SR of 150.7.
