Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav has hogged the headlines for his heroics in T20 cricket. He is a short span of time has developed himself into one of the most talked about batters in Indian Cricket with his heroics.
Ever since he made his debut for India, he has made a vital contribution in every match he has played. While there’s no doubt about his ability in the shortest format of the game, he’s yet to make a mark in ODIs as he has so far failed to get going in the format.
But it’s fair to say that it’s only a matter of time before he’ll get his feet going in the ODIs. Suryakumar has been named in the Indian squad for the first two Tests against Australia. His selection saw many eyebrows being raised but it was learned that BCCI picked him just to tilt the momentum as he’s an aggressor.
Amid all the talks about his selection, former Indian cricketer Mohammad Mohammad Azharuddin has made a bold statement on Indian batter. Speaking to TOI, he said: “Suryakumar Yadav is an all-format player just like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.”

Rohit has a good ODI career, a decent T20 career and below par test career. Kohli is a master in all three formats but what has Surya done to be called an all format player?? 😭😭😭 Guy is yet to make his test debut https://t.co/cmHWIQcG4j
