Carter made headlines before his WWE release for the wrong reasons. His ex-wife, Kimber Lee, an ex NXT wrestler herself, had accused him of physical assault during their marriage. She had also shared a picture of Carter imitating genocidal dictator Adolf Hitler, sporting a toothbrush moustache like him. He was also doing the controversial salute in the photo.
All these factors led to WWE releasing him in April, 2022. He and Wes Lee were on the top of the tag team division at that time. They, as MSK, were the NXT Tag Team champions at that time and their titles were vacated after that. He has publicly apologized for his actions.
Gigi Dolin was in a match for the NXT Women’s Title in a triple threat match at NXT Vengeance Day on Saturday. She was facing her Toxic Attraction tag team partner Jacy Jayne and the NXT Women’s champion Roxanne Perez. However, she was unsuccessful in winning the title that Perez retained in a hard-fought contest that took place earlier this weekend.
