Hardik Pandya drew the ire of many after he finished the recent game against West Indies with a six when Tilak Varma was stranded on 49*. With quite a few balls left, many felt that Hardik could have defended. This way, Tilak’s confidence would have increased with consecutive fifties. However, a few felt that too much is being made out of the incident. On that note, here, we take a look as legendary cricketer AB de Villiers reacted to Harsha Bhogle’s view about the Hardik-Tilak incident.
Harsha Bhogle and ABD react to the Hardik-Tilak incident
Harsha Bhogle has always been of the opinion that milestones do not count a lot for a batter in T20s. The impact is what is important and the popular commentator felt that he was “puzzled” by the discussion surrounding the topic.
To this, AB de Villiers expressed his agreement and thanked Harsha for finally someone echoing his thoughts. It actually makes sense from ABD‘s perspective because although he does not rank high in the list of run-getters, in terms of impact, there were not many cricketers better than him.
Thank you thank you thank you. Finally someone says it!

A fine talent for Team India
Meanwhile, Tilak Varma has been a revelation for India. He has done well in all the chances that he has got so far. For a left-hander to do well in the middler-order in a T20 batting attack is a good sign for the future of Indian cricket.
Also, Tilak is a useful spinner. This is something that the management is yet to make use of. If Tilak can also contribute with the ball, his place would be cemented in the XI. It is brilliant that a top-order player like Tilak has adapted his game to suit the requirements of the team. There are also suggestions that India must fast-track him into the ODI setup.
