Fans on Twitter reacted after ICC named the T20I team of the year 2022. They were impressed with the team but were unhappy with the side naming Mohammad Rizwan in the side and said that everyone except the keeper batter deserved the spot.
ICC names T20I team of the year 2022
International Cricket Council on Monday (23rd January) named the T20I team of the year 2022. England’s World Cup-winning skipper Jos Buttler has been named the captain of the team along with being keeper and opening batter.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan has been picked as the other opener alongside Jos Buttler. Whereas the Indian duo of Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav has been slotted to bat No.3 and No.4 respectively. Both the batters were in the staggering form in the shortest format of the game and were the main reason behind India’s success in the team.
New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips has also been named in the ICC team of the year and will bat at No.5. Whereas all-rounders such as Sikander Raza, Hardik Pandya, Sam Curran and Wanindu Hasaranga are also in the team. Pakistan’s fiercest pacer Haris Rauf will lead the pace bowling attack alongside Ireland’s Joshua Little.
