Next week’s edition of Monday Night RAW is already looking to be a show-stealer with the announcement that the October 10 episode of the flagship brand will play host to the 25th-anniversary of one of the greatest and most notorious factions in the history of the WWE, D-Generation X. WWE is promoting the upcoming show to celebrate the legendary stable with a reunion in place seeing former members appearing on RAW to celebrate this milestone.
From rising up to the ranks during the Attitude Era to causing complete chaos and producing some of the most entertaining moments of all time, all the nostalgic wrestling fans will witness the aura of D-X one more time in Brooklyn, New York.
The reunion will probably feature appearances from the founding members, current Vice President of Talent Development Creative for NXT Shawn Michaels, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, WWE producer Road Dogg and maybe WWE Legend Sean Waltman aka X-Pac. However, it will most likely be positive that another member of the stable, Billy Gunn won’t be there in attendance due to his current association with rival competitor AEW.

So, before WWE arrives in Brooklyn to produce this star-studded episode this Monday, let’s deep dive and look back at the history of the Hall of Fame faction that revolutionized the sports-entertainment industry forever.
Break it Down: A closer look at D-Generation X
D-Generation X was founded by Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chyna, and Ravishing Rick Rude in 1997 at the height of the Monday Night Wars between WWE and its former rival WCW as one of the most creatively driven factions that could change the game and prove to be a major asset to the global phenomenon of Pro Wrestling, WWE.

They began their run as a rebellious group of individuals going to greater lengths in terms of matches, segments, and storylines to claim the TV ratings for WWE due to their unorthodox style of causing complete nuisance that was viewed as highly entertaining by the WWE Universe. They are known to start the iconic ‘S*ck It’ Chants and the chops as their symbol of defiance and rebellion being highly popular until this day.
Their early beginnings saw a classic feud with the more value-driven Hart Foundation, with long-time rivals Bret Hart and The Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels leading the charge. Moreover, their success even led to the group getting a WWE pay-per-view named after them, D-Generation X: In Your House in 1997 and featured the Boxing legend Iron Mike Tyson becoming a short-tenured member of the group during Michaels’s feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin leading up to WrestleMania 14 in 1998.
After The Showstopper took early retirement in 1998, Triple took over the reins of the group along with Chyna adding X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws to reinvent the group and give it a completely fresh direction by even adding his wife Stephanie McMahon to the mix known as the McMahon-Hemsley incarnation of the group. Over the years we have seen brief reunions between Triple H and Shawn Michaels in 2006, and 2009 and some sporadic one-time appearances such as the 1000th episode of RAW, WrestleMania 31, and RAW 25 years to remind the WWE Universe that D-X can leave their mark in any era and against any establishment.
As far as accomplishments go, D-X as a cohesive unit has won a total of 27 championships across all members and was later inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2019.
Gear up WWE Universe to answer the one question that will kick off the celebrations this week on RAW quoting The Game Triple H- ‘Are you Ready? No…..I said……ARE….YOU…….READY?????
