Mumbai Indians have been chasing high scores well in recent games. At Mohali on Wednesday, as well, it was another successful day at the office for the five-time champions. MI did not have a great outing with the ball and hence, they were given a stiff target of 215 to chase. However, despite the early loss of Rohit Sharma‘s wicket and a tentative start in the powerplay, nothing was able to dent the chase for the visitors. While Ishan Kishan hit form, SKY was at his usual best as the PBKS bowlers had no answers for the onslaught.
Meanwhile, PBKS must review their bowling performance soon. Against LSG, they gave 257 runs and it was a horrible show for them. It was a similar performance against MI, as well. The team has a solid pace attack comprising Arshdeep Singh, Sam Curran and Kagiso Rabada. The spin attack is also good on paper. However, they are not often firing together in the game. Going forward, if PBKS must do well in the tournament, they would want their bowlers to step up.
