Dhammika Prasad Gave A Befitting Reply To Popular Sri Lankan Twitter user Daniel Alexander

Dhammika Prasad silenced a troll: Rivalry in cricket is common that at times can get ugly too, where a verbal spat is always welcome. On certain occasions, things have gone beyond limits, like Javed Miandad swinging his bat at Dennis Lillee and Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli almost pulling off a fisticuff on the ground.

However, all of these are usually forgotten in the ground and cool heads prevail once players are off the pitch. Taunts and jibes between cricket fans is also a normal scenario, but hatred is not something that is welcome.

Daniel Alexander, a Sri Lankan cricket fan has for some weird reason been bestowed with interminable vitriol for the Indians and more than the fact he praises Sri Lanka, he drives all his energy in censuring the Indian cricket team.

In the recently concluded series between India and Sri Lanka, India managed to win the ODI series while the Lankan team staged a brilliant turnaround to clinch the T20 series. Post the game, there were absolutely wonderful scenes, promoting sportsmanship and support to the Lankan supporters.

Despite being rivals, India has always shared a very sweet bond with Sri Lanka and the modality between the fans is an absolute treat to cricket.

However, there are fans like Daniel Alexander ingrained with only one feeling and that is hatred that leads to the souring of relations.

What exactly did Dhammika Prasad say?

One Sri Lankan fan tagged their fast bowler, Dhammika Prasad in a tweet, citing, “Sir for ur concern @daniel86cricket this guy from our country just disgusting our country name and spreading hatred against Indian cricket. And also he is just breaking all the good bonds between Indian fans and Sri Lanka fans, in his tweet. Please consider it, sir.”

Dhammika Prasad responded in a stern way, quoting, “Obviously I don’t know about him and who’s that guy, personally I feel he should respect others, as well as the other country’s as well, that’s called sportsmanship, when we were in trouble in 1996 @BCCI supported us, can’t forget that, so then you should respect others, thanks.”

It is indeed sad to see that even when two nations share such an amazing bond, there are always someone who simply have their own agenda and doing something what others not prefer to do.
