David Warner says he still wants to play for SRH, but depends on management’s decision

David Warner is a former IPL title winning captain of SRH

Even after all that has transpired between David Warner and the SRH management, the Aussie left-hander has insisted that he still wants to represent SRH going ahead. However, whether he will be able to do that or not depends on the decision of the team management and the franchise.

David Warner, who is a former IPL title-winning captain of SRH, fell off the radar earlier in the first leg of this season when he was not just sacked from captaincy, he was also dropped from the play ing XI. As it turned out towards the end of the tournament, Warner was kept even out of the matchday squads, and he had to travel to the stadium separately from the squad with the other young players.

It was not a great sight for the fans to see David Warner like that

It was a bit embarrassing for everyone, for the player, the management and the fans as well who have given Warner so much love and support over the years. That support has been repaid by Warner in abundance, as he has scored heaps of runs for the franchise. Warner’s love for the franchise and the fans is still there.

Hyderabad is my second home, fans loved me a lot, I would like to play for them next year, but it all depends on the franchise and management – looking forward into the mega auction,” Warner said while speaking in an interview to Indian journalist Boria Majumdar.

The circumstances in which David Warner was dropped, it was very clear that he was treated a bit harshly. He was dropped after a few bad games, despite having the weight of plenty of runs he scored for the team in the past.

Warner admitted in that interview with Boria Majumdar that it was hard for him not to get a proper explanation from the management as to why he was dropped. According to Warner, when it comes to form, he expects the weight of runs the player has scored in the past to be taken into consideration as well.

I write a bit on cricket and I am more interested in technical and tactical side of the game, rather than bravado.
