Until the age of 14, Bhaker excelled in other sports like Huyen Langdon, a Manipuri martial art, as well as boxing, tennis and skating, winning medals at the national games in these events.
She first achieved success at the international level when she won the silver medal at the 2017 Asian Junior Championships. In the 2017 National games, Bhaker clinched nine gold medals. She also broke Sidhu’s record of 240.8 points, scoring 242.3 points in the finals.
Manu has had the most wonderful track record when it comes to laurels and achievements. She has a total of 9 Gold medals at the World Cup with two silvers. With that, she has a Gold & Silver in Youth Olympic Games and a stand-alone gold in Commonwealth Games. She also has 3 golds and 1 silver at the Asian Shooting Ciro World Cup.
She is the youngest Indian shooter to bag a gold medal at the ISSF World Cup. She made her maiden Commonwealth Games appearance at the age of 16. Manu Bhaker also won a gold medal that season.

In the youth Olympic games back in the Summer of 2018, she was competing in the 10m air pistol women and mixed team. She bagged a gold going solo while winning a silver in the team category.
She qualified for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 in the 10m pistol event, having finished fourth at the Munich ISSF World Cup. This came days after an unfortunate mishap when her pistol was jammed in the finals of the 25m pistol event. She was leading the finals, however, was forced to forfeit due to her gun not being able to fire.
In a very interesting pattern, Bhaker has won gold in all the four Pistol & Rifle ISSF World Cups in 2019, with Saurabh Chaudhry as her partner, making the duo a strong contender for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
