Kuldeep Yadav misses out from the playing XI for the second Test against Bangladesh

After a sensational performance in the first Test, who would’ve thought that India will omit Kuldeep Yadav from the playing XI for the second game. But this happened to be the only change for the visitors in the last game of the series as they drafted Jaydev Unadkat in place of chinaman bowler.

Kuldeep was the star performer for India in the first game as he played a staggering role with both bat as well as the ball and won Player of the Match. In what was his comeback match after nearly 2 years, he first scored 40 runs with the bat and help India post a big total.

After that, it was his sheer brilliance with the ball that was on the show. He took a five-wicket haul and made Bangladesh batters look clueless with his spin bowling. In the second innings also, he was the star with the ball as he took 8 wickets.

Kuldeep made the most of the opportunity that he got and it was almost certain that he will be there for the second Test as well. But he was yet again dropped for the team balance. Notably, he was also dropped from the side when he took a fifer in Sydney against Australia.

“To drop a Man of the Match is unbelievable…and unbelievable is a very gentle word. I want to use more harsh words. You drop a player who picked eight out of 20 wickets in the last game and have two other spinners. One of those two should have been dropped and he should have played no matter what.”

Notably, Kuldeep returned with the figures of 8/113 in the first game. In his place Jaydev Unadkat did a decent job as he took wickets on his return to the team after 12 years.
