The IPL 2023 auction is taking its toll on the fans. The event is just a few hours away from now and will take place in Kochi on Friday (23rd December). A total of 405 players will go under the hammer.
The road to IPL 2023 starts with the event as it will see some big names as well as some promising youngsters getting picked by 10 franchises. Ahead of the auction, former cricketers Suresh Raina, Eoin Morgan, Chris Gayle and Scott Styris were involved in a mock auction. While former Indian cricketr represented Chennai Super Kings, Morgan and Styris took part in it as Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively.
The trio crossed all the barriers and were all in for three overseas all-rounders in Sam Curran, Ben Stokes and Cameron Green. Raina, who was CSK, picked Sam Curran whopping INR 19.5 crores. Morgan on the other hand spent INR 19 crores for Ben Stokes while Green was the most expensive buy and was picked by Styris for INR 20 crores.
