Team India will lock horns with the Australian national cricket team in the Border Gavaskar Trophy series which includes four Tests. The first Test is just a couple of days away from getting underway at VCA Stadium in Nagpur.
It remains to be seen which team uses their resources to better effect to take the first lead in the series. The team that draws the first blood in the series have a psychological edge going forward into the series.
Australian cricket team have often struggled to produce good results when they toured India to play the Test series. The last time the Aussies won the Test series against India in India was back in 2004 as they won the series by 2-1.
After that, they failed to bring the best out of themselves in the sub-continent conditions. Australia lost the Test series by 2-1 against India during their previous outing in 2017.

Meanwhile, former India’s head coach, Ravi Shastri came up with a bold prediction ahead of the Test series between India and Australia. According to the renowned commentator, Ravichandran Ashwin’s form might decide the result of the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Ravi Ashwin has been the top-tier spinner for Team India in the longest format of the game. He has played 88 Tests in his career so far wherein he took as many as 449 wickets to his name.
It is worth mentioning here that he has bagged 30 fifers and 24 four-wicket-hauls to his name. He will be looking forward to weaving the magic with the ball in the forthcoming Test series against the Aussies.
Ashwin could be a game-changer because of his all-round credentials. Apart from his bowling prowess, he is best known for his batting abilities wherein he has scored five centuries and 13 fifties to his name.
