After the game, popular commentator, Harsha Bhogle had something to say about Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis’ strike rates against Lucknow Super Giants at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
According to the experienced commentator, the game between RCB and LSG confirms the fact that it is important to maintain a good strike rate. He further pointed out that Virat Kohli’s 61 off 44 against LSG had a strike rate of 139 but slowed down when he scored 16 off 15 at the end.
On the other side of the coin, RCB captain, Faf du Plessis chipped in with 79(46) with an eventual strike rate of 172. However, Faf du Plessis initially scored 33 off 30 balls.
Harsha Bhogle further added that those deliveries don’t come back and echoed that RCB were short in the end. The commentator explained that it is not about the eventual strike rate but about making every delivery count.
This game confirms everything we have been talking about strike rates. Kohli 61(44), eventual SR of 139 but got 16(15) at the end. Du Plessis 79(46) eventual SR of 172 but was 33(30). Those balls don't come back. And #RCB were short in the end. It is not about the eventual SR.
