“He is the future and he is gutsy, please don’t release him,” Mumbai Indians fans react on twitter as reports emerge that the franchise might release some promising players

Mumbai Indians didn't have a great IPL last season and they were eliminated before the playoffs

The IPL teams have started their procedure of releasing and retaining players and there was always a chance that Mumbai Indians will be releasing quite a few players this season because they didn’t have a great last season and now the reports are circulating that Tymal Mills, Fabian Allen and Mayank Markande are the three players whom the Mumbai management is thinking of releasing from the squad.

Tymal Mills was one of those players who had got injured in the middle of the last IPL season and Mumbai Indians had replaced him with Tristan Stubbs. Now with the potential that Stubbs has shown in international cricket in the last little while and with the fact that Mumbai could retain only one out of Stubbs and Mills, it was very likely that they were going to release Mills.

As far as Fabian Allen and Mayank Markande are concerned, Markande has been a part of Mumbai’s squad in the past as well and he had put on a couple of eye-catching performances in IPL 2018, but his career graph has gone down in the recent times and the same can be said about Fabian Allen who has not been a part of West Indies national squad in the latest games that they have played.

I write a bit on cricket and I am more interested in technical and tactical side of the game, rather than bravado.
