Former India’s bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad launched a scathing attack on Aakash Chopra on the micro-blogging portal of late. He stressed the fact that Chopra misquoted him over the KL Rahul debate in his recent YouTube show.
KL Rahul recently lost his tag as the vice-captain in the wake of poor scores in international cricket. The right-handed batter struggled to chip in with a string of valuable scores for the team.
Case in point, Venkatesh Prasad came up with a bold statement, lashing out at Aakash Chopra for alleging that the former pacer had a personal agenda against out-of-form Lokesh Rahul.
In fact, Venkatesh Prasad slammed KL Rahul and also claimed partiality in the Indian cricket team, adding that KL Rahul doesn’t even deserve a place in the Test playing XI.
While attaching a series of tweets, the former paceman claimed that Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan didn’t get the necessary backing like KL Rahul despite the fact that they performed pretty well for Team India earlier.
Venkatesh Prasad slams Aakash Chopra on Twitter
On the other hand, Aakash Chopra was totally in favour of the team management supporting KL Rahul despite the latter’s poor form. He even came up with statistics of KL Rahul’s performances in SENA countries, which is the third-highest batting average by an Indian.
In a video clip titled “How Bad is KL Rahul’s Test form?”, the cricket expert provided an in-depth analysis that Venkatesh Prasad shared on Twitter and went on to argue against them and backed KL Rahul.
However, Venkatesh Prasad was not at all convinced by Aakash Chopra’s explanation as he went on to call the video extremely unpleasant. Besides that, he also went on to Aakash Chopra by attaching one of Aakash Chopra’s old tweet about Rohit Sharma from 2012.
