2 Players Of India’s T20 WC 2007 Winning Team Who Will Play In UAE’s International League T20

International League T20 is a new competition which will soon begin in the United Arab Emirates. The Gulf nation has launched its new T20 league, and it stands at the second position in terms of salaries to cricketers, only behind the IPL. This league features a total of six franchises. Three of them are owned by IPL team owners, while the other three are new entrants in this business.

Speaking of the teams owned by IPL franchise owners, five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians’ owners have their team named MI Emirates. Similarly, the sister franchises of Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals will also participate in the tournament under the names of Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and Dubai Capitals.

The other three teams which are a part of this competition are the Gulf Giants, the Sharjah Warriors and the Desert Vipers. International League T20 features a majority of the big names of the shortest format of the game.

Kieron Pollard will captain MI Emirates, Moeen Ali will lead the Sharjah Warriors, while the captains of the other four franchises are Sunil Narine (Abu Dhabi Knight Riders), Rovman Powell (Dubai Capitals), James Vince (Gulf Giants) and Colin Munro (Desert Vipers). Interestingly, two retired Indian cricketers who work as commentators now will also participate in ILT20 2023. Here’s a list of the two names.

1. Yusuf Pathan will play for Dubai Capitals in International League T20

Yusuf Pathan was a part of the Indian squad that won the ICC T20 World Cup 2007 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. The retired Indian all-rounder has joined the Star Sports broadcast team as a Hindi commentator. He also plays in T20 leagues around the world and will represent Dubai Capitals in ILT20.

2. Robin Uthappa

Another member of the Indian T20 World Cup winning team who will play for Dubai Capitals is Robin Uthappa. He has worked as a commentator for Jio Cinema and Star Sports. Now, he will return to the field.
