“Glenn Phillips debut” – Twitter reacts as Aiden Markram is likely to miss the first match for SRH due to national duty

Sunrisers Hyderabad are one of the top teams in the Indian Premier League. They have a reputation for qualifying for the playoffs even with limited resources in their arsenal and they have done that many times.

However, they ran through a worrisome experience in IPL 2022 season as they ran short of tricks and trades. They ended up losing more games and as a result, they failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad finished eighth on the IPL 2022 points table with six wins and eight defeats, collecting 12 points in the league stage, which wasn’t really enough for them to make a statement.

While things haven’t really clicked well altogether for Sunrisers Hyderabad, they will certainly hope for a fresh start for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise appointed Aiden Markram as the captain for the next season. The South African international will be looking forward to kick-starting a new chapter at the franchise.

Meanwhile, in the latest development, Aiden Markram is expected to miss the first match for Sunrisers Hyderabad owing to national duty. Currently, Aiden Markram is a bit busy with the home assignment against the West Indies cricket team.

West Indies won the first T20I by three wickets and drew the first blood in the series whereas South Africa won the second T20I by six wickets. The third and final T20I between South Africa and West Indies will kick off on March 28 at The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.

After the home series, South Africa will play the rescheduled second and third ODI against the Netherlands cricket team in Benoniย and Johannesburg on March 31 and April 2 respectively.

As a result, Aiden Markram will be missing the first game for SRH. Sunrisers will play their first game against Rajasthan Royals on April 2 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
