There is no smoke without fire! As per many reports, Delhi Capitals is considering releasing Rishabh Pant before IPL 2025. It would be a big move if that happens. A number of teams would be interested in Pant if he is available on the auction table. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three teams which could target Rishabh Pant if Delhi Capitals releases him before IPL 2025.

1) Chennai Super Kings

There are some reports that suggest that CSK could pull off a trade for Rishabh Pant. However, there has not been any instance of a trade before a Mega Auction.

Considering MS Dhoni is likely to retire, CSK would need a wicket-keeper. They would also need a popular Indian face to replace him. It is well-known that Pant enjoys a good relationship with MS Dhoni. Even if Pant is available in the auctions, CSK would be desperate for his signature.

2) Royal Challengers Bengaluru

RCB is one of the teams which could target Rishabh Pant if Delhi Capitals releases him before IPL 2025. RCB needs a wicketkeeper and a left-handed batter in the middle order.

There is no better option than Pant in world cricket. Of course, if Pant comes to RCB, he would also get captaincy. However, there would be a lot of competition for RCB to bring Pant to the side.

3) Punjab Kings

It has been a while since PBKS had a popular Indian player in the team. If someone like Rishabh Pant is available at the auctions, PBKS must go out for him.

Not only would he secure the future of the franchise both cricketing-wise and in terms of popularity, but he would also be a great captaincy choice. PBKS has spent a lot on some foreign players in the past. If Pant is available, they should be ready to splash a lot of cash to sign him.
