Chennai Super Kings won IPL 2023 but the team would still need some tweaks ahead of the next season. Ambati Rayudu has retired while Ben Stokes is set to be released. Moeen Ali, Maheesh Theekshana and Devon Conway are some of the players who are not in great form. In this regard, some of the stars at the 2023 ODI World Cup could end up at CSK. 1) Daryl Mitchell
Daryl Mitchell had one stint in the IPL but it was not a memorable one. However, his recent form is excellent and his game against spin bowling impressed many.
Also with brute power, Daryl would be a nice fit at No.4 or No.5 for CSK. Plus, he also bowls medium pace, something that MS Dhoni likes and might use, as well. Therefore, the experienced cricketer is a part of this list.
2) Pat Cummins
Pat Cummins is one of the ODI World Cup stars whom CSK might target for IPL 2024. The ODI World Cup-winning captain had a tough start to the tournament but made amends with some solid shows in the end. He has developed many variations which will also help him in T20 cricket.
CSK might need an experienced partner for Matheesha Pathirana and Deepak Chahar in the pace department. Also, a good option is needed to bowl in the middle overs. This is where a player like Pat Cummins could be a good fit at CSK.
3) Gerald Coetzee
A star at JSK in the SA20 League, CSK owners might be desperate to bring him to CSK, as well. They would also have the funds to make that happen.
A fiery pacer with all the right attributes, Gerald could be an option for CSK in the future, as well. Hence, they could target him even if he goes for a big sum.
