“If you don’t like my face, tell me, I will be fine with it,” Imad Wasim sends stern message to Pakistan chief selector Mohammad Wasim

Pakistan left-arm spin bowling allrounder Imad Wasim is of the view that he is being kept out of the Pakistan national squad simply because of the personal bias of the chief selector and his performances are not the criteria for keeping him out.

Imad Wasim has never played test match cricket for Pakistan, but he was an established member of Pakistan white ball squads in the last 5 years. However, recently he was dropped and the chief selector of Pakistan, Mohammad Wasim, justified the decision saying Imad’s performances have been “below par”.

Imad Wasim was interviewed by PakPassion.net yesterday and when he was asked about Wasim’s statement, he said that for the chief selector to simply say that someone’s performances have been below par doesn’t make any sense, it has to be justified with facts and figures.

According to Imad, if Mohammad Wasim can justify his statement with facts and figures, he is ready to listen to him, but the fact of the matter is his performances have not been below par and that’s there for everyone to have a look.

My performances in T20 World Cup were reasonably good too: Imad Wasim

Talking about the T20 World Cup which was held in UAE last year where Pakistan reached the semifinal round, Imad said that his performances in T20 World Cup were reasonably good too. So, how can it be simply said that he has been below par?

Imad insisted if the reason behind dropping him is something else and if the decision-makers in the Pakistan cricket set-up don’t like his face, they can say that too and he would be alright with it, but as long as he doesn’t know the reason, he will remain immensely frustrated.

Imad Wasim further stated that it’s really unfortunate that a player can be kept out of the Pakistan team just because of the personal bias of some people.
