Season 6 PKL Winners Bengaluru Bulls had a decent outing in the last campaign as they finished at the sixth spot in the points table with 11 wins in 22 matches. They failed to make it past the knockout stage last season despite an extraordinary performance from their start raider Pawan Sehrawat. However, they have built a strong squad this season and will aim to be at their best.
On the other hand, U Mumba who lifted the PKL title in season 2 have been inconsistent in the past few seasons. In PKL 7, they finished at the fourth spot in the points’ table winning 12 of their 22 matches but suffered heartbreak in the semis by the eventual champions Bengal Warriors. They have now built a young squad led by the Iranian defender Fazel Atrachali and will be looking forward to having a successful run this time out.
