Jey Uso stunned the fans by announcing his WWE exit on last week’s SmackDown episode. After taking out Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso in the ‘Hail to the Chief’ segment in Canada, Jey announced on camera that he was done with SmackDown, Bloodline and WWE.
Soon after, WWE took his name out from the list of active Superstars in the company. Jey Uso is officially a WWE alumnus now, but fans should note that this is all a storyline. Uso is still a WWE star in real life, and he is likely to make a return in the coming weeks.
Looking at the attention the Bloodline storyline has received in recent weeks, quite a few members of the WWE Universe have opined that the main event of WrestleMania XL should feature one or more members of The Bloodline against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

However, a report by Ringside News states that Jey Uso will not be Roman Reigns’ WrestleMania XL opponent. WWE had locked in Roman’s WrestleMania XL opponent after WrestleMania 39 itself, and they have no plans of changing it.
Not Jey Uso but Cody Rhodes will reportedly challenge Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania XL
Cody Rhodes aimed to finish his story by dethroning Roman Reigns as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion in the main event of WrestleMania 39. However, he failed to do so. It looks like WWE wants to finish his story at WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia.
“Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the creative team that ‘things can change, and that’s something to note,’ but Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes has always been the ‘obvious direction’ for WrestleMania 40. It was also noted that this has been the ‘theory since before their match at WrestleMania 39.'”
