Backstage Update On New Championship Belts In WWE After Draft 2023

Rumors are rampant about WWE introducing new titles after the WWE Draft. Reportedly, once the Draft is over, new titles will be introduced.

The WWE Draft started on Friday, April 28th, on SmackDown. Many top names of the company like Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair and Edge were drafted to the blue brand. The Draft may be halfway done but WWE might still have a few more tricks up its sleeve.

On last week’s RAW, Triple H unveiled the new World Heavyweight Championship belt and he announced that it would be on the top prize of the brand where Roman doesn’t end up on. He also revealed that the new champion will be crowned at the Night of Champions PLE at Saudi Arabia on May 27th.

Which new championships will be introduced in WWE?

According to wrestling gossip source Xero News, WWE could also introduce multiple new titles after the Draft. But it’s not sure exactly when this will happen. Xero News said, “New titles incoming once draft over with. Not sure it this is this week or once the trades etc are done,” They had previously reported that WWE could debut new Tag team titles and also Women’s titles. If their rumors are true, these new titles could be women’s mid-card titles or just new designs of current belts.

The second and final day of the WWE Draft continues tonight on RAW. It will be interesting to see how the roster looks after this. The Bloodline’s Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman were already drafted to remain on SmackDown. But surprisingly, The Usos are still undrafted following their failure to regain the Undisputed Tag Team tiles.

RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair moved to SmackDown on Friday. Therefore, SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley will probably go to RAW tonight. They can also swap belts like we’ve seen in WWE Draft 2021. A lot of things are waiting to happen on and post WWE Draft.
