2 batting order changes Gautam Gambhir could do for the Bangladesh series

Gautam Gambhir tried a lot of different things in the Sri Lanka ODI and T20I series. It will not be a surprise if he takes a few risks in the Test series, as well. All these changes could happen keeping in mind the future of the side. It may not work now but will be of great use for the team in the near and the distant future. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three batting order changes Gautam Gambhir could do for the Bangladesh series.

1) KL Rahul at No.3

Shubman Gill has not been exactly convincing at No.3. He has scored runs recently but has not been consistent. With the BGT in the near future, India will like to have an experienced man at No.3 who can take the sting out of the opposition bowling attack.

KL Rahul has experience playing in almost every batting slot. He should find success at No.3, as well. He has the skills to make that happen. Even if India loses an early wicket, KL has the patience to see out the threat and take the game further into India’s hands. This way, India will have a balanced approach in the batting line-up.

2) Shubman Gill at No.6

Playing Shubman Gill at No.6 is one of the batting order changes Gautam Gambhir could do for the Bangladesh series. Ideally, the management would have liked to have Gill at No.5. However, with Rishabh Pant back in the side, it could be hard to leave the left-hander late in the batting order.

Also, the No.6 batter must be good against the new ball. Gill has the experience of an opening batter and hence, he will be the right fit. He is good against all types of bowling and hence, it could be important for the Indian future to have him experience this role.
