WWE has now started actively working with their NXT division and to be honest, the tricks that they have been working with, they have returned good results. Particularly the introduction of John Cena, Dominik Mysterio and Paul Heyman into the roster.
Now everyone is aware of the fact that these are just guest appearances and won’t last for long. However, the kind of spike that they were hoping to bring to the table that is very much evident. But then to tale the viewership beyond 1 million mark is no easy feat. Here are five ways what WWE can do with NXT can do.
#1 Create a proper storyline that involves WWE stars from the main roster fighting a prolonged battle
Guest appearances in NXT are common and people are least bothered about that. However, if you can fit a couple of superstars from the main roster who would time and time again frequent WWE’s developmental brand with a few matches hither and yon that shouldn’t be just guest games but proper storylines, the fans would be looking more into the roster.
#2 Fix a few superstars from the main roster who would be regular for NXT
Ideally the kind of fighting flair that we see on NXT ha a bit more muscle than the kayfabe. The storylines are there but the imposition is slightly on the higher side. Hence, if you can keep a fixed set of superstars in WWE NXT, then the stakes will also be going up higher from which the breaks will be shining brighter than ever.
#3 Push the Bron Breakker storyline
Bron Breakker is now on his way to the main roster and the kind of flair that he brings to the table, the kind of muscle that is supreme with Breakker, he is obviously going to be a big shot. However, what WWE can do is, if Roman Reigns continue the Bloodline on the main roster, Bron can do that in NXT. Thereby to see the continuation of the Bloodline in both rosters, the fans would flock in.
#4 Put in a bit more glam
Ideally other than the intro music, when we talk about toys in the fights, they are usually on the lesser side. Now the fans love things gory, and if you start bringing in matches with stipulations which will see the toys coming into play, it would start reminding the WWE universe of the earlier days where they would see the brutality coming up.
#5 Get Stephanie McMahon to be the manager of NXT
The manager plays a crucial role in defining the entire roster and Steph has a special talent of playing the heel manager. Make her the boss of NXT and see how the fans start building a storyline of their own and obviously when the storylines exist, expect blood and brutality to follow with the number of fans coming in large numbers.
