According to ESPNCricinfo, the first change is that all the teams of the Indian Premier League will name their playing XI after the toss, in what could be a game-changing decision in the tournament.
The captains will get to decide and pick the playing XI based on the conditions. Meanwhile, the second change in IPL 2023 is that any unfair movement by the wicketkeeper or fielders will lead to a dead ball and 5 penalty runs.
The third major change is that only four fielders will be permitted outside the 30 yards for every over not completed within the time. The upcoming edition of the IPL will begin on March 31 as Chennai Super Kings will lock horns with Gujarat Titans in the tournament opener at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
