The ICC World Test Championship 2023 is coming to the conclusion. The summit clash is likely to take place from June 7 to 11 at the Oval. All the teams have given their best and are leaving no stone unturned to be in contention. While few of them have been eliminated, the likes of Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, India and England are in contention.

Pakistan’s Test series loss to England at home has given Indian Cricket Team a fair chance to qualify for the final of the ICC World Test Championship 2023. Their chance to qualify for the summit clash now solely stands in their own hand.
Indian Cricket Team is currently placed fourth on the points table of WTC 2023 with 6 wins from 12 games. They have 52 points to their name with 52.08%. They have lost four games as well whereas two have whereas have ended in a draw as well.
However, they have 6 matches left and all they need to do is win 5 out of their remaining matches. They have 2 matches coming up against Bangladesh whereas their last four matches will be against Australia next year at home.
Scenario for India to reach the Final of WTC:
– Beat Bangladesh by 2-0.

First, they need to beat Bangladesh 2-0 and then beat Australia by 4-0 or 3-1 or 3-0. If they manage to achieve the feat they will be through and will most likely face Australia or South Africa in the final.
India’s schedule for the next 6 Test matches
The two Tests against Bangladesh will be played in Chattogram on 14th December and Mirpur on 22nd December respectively. But the real Test will begin when they will lock horns against Australia at home.
The first game between the nations will be played on February 9th in Nagpur followed by the second Test to be played on 17th February in Delhi. The third game between India and Australia is slated to take place on 1st March in Dharamshala whereas the last game will be played on 9th March in Ahmedabad.
