Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz set the stage on fire in the second ODI against India in Dhaka. Opting to bat first, the hosts were in deep trouble as Indian bowlers rattled their top order and left them tottering at 69/6.
But Mehidy carried his good form from the last game and along with Mahmudullah (77) stitched the highest-ever 7th wicket partnership against India in ODI history with over 148 runs. They counter-attacked the Indian bowlers and smashed them all over the part to take their team past 200 runs.
He smashed Indian bowlers all over the park and made them look clueless in the later half of the innings. He notched up his maiden century and helped his side post a total of 271 runs on the board. Mehidy remained unbeaten on 100 runs with the help of 8 fours and 4 sixes.
Notably, Mehidy single-handedly won the game for his side in the last encounter as he batted wonderfully to take his side home with 1 wicket in hand.
