Shaun Tait, the bowling coach of the Pakistan cricket team, complained in the post-match press conference yesterday that whenever Pakistan loses a game by a massive margin, the team management asks him to go and face the questions of the media.
Pakistan was thrashed by England in the 6th T20 international played at Lahore yesterday, as the visitors chased down the target set by Pakistan before the 15th over of their innings. At the halfway mark, the experts were of the unanimous opinion that Pakistan had put a good score of 169 on the board, as the pitch was two-paced and the strokeplay wasn’t easy.
But, the way England batted, they made a complete mockery of the target and hunted it down in just 14.3 overs with Phil Salt scoring 88 unbeaten runs off just 41 balls at the top of the order.
Shane Tait, thereafter, came out to address the press conference from Pakistan’s side and he didn’t look happy at all. Pakistan has had some good results in the series against England as well, but whenever they have won, Tait hasn’t been sent to address the press.
However, Tait has addressed the press both times Pakistan has suffered heavy losses and as he came out yesterday, he started his address by saying, “Whenever we get beaten badly, they send me”.

Shaun Tait played down questions about Pakistan’s death bowling
Tait’s response to a question asked by a Pakistan journalist about Pakistan’s death bowling was very strange as well. He asked the journalist if he watched the last game where Pakistan won because of their death bowling and when the journalist said that it was just one good death over from Aamer Jamal, Tait said that one over was enough because Pakistan won the game.

Shaun Tait will continue to coach Pakistan till the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia, but it remains to be seen if his contract as the bowling coach of Pakistan is extended after that.
