When Will Randy Orton Return To WWE From His Injury Break?

There have been many top Superstars in the WWE who served as the franchise for a long term, but none has been able to match the longevity, consistency, high skill in-ring acumen intact, and continuous evolution at every major stage of their career except for one, The Viper Randy Orton. Many fans are waiting for an update on when will Randy Orton to WWE?

Debuting in WWE in 2002, a second-generation Superstar Orton started his career with the Legend Killer gimmick being featured in high-profile showdowns with legends like Mick Foley, and Undertaker. He became a 14-time World Champion, the youngest World Champion in the history of the company winning the title at 24, a one-time WWE Intercontinental and United States Champion, a 4-time Tag Team Champion.

He also has two Royal Rumble victories and a Money in the Bank, being well on his way as a future WWE Hall of Famer. This year will make the 20th anniversary of Orton’s debut on Friday Night Smackdown.

Here is the reason why Randy Orton is absent from WWE shows

Most recently, Randy Orton was seen as a part of the popular duo, ‘RK-Bro’ alongside the goofy and charismatic Matt Riddle becoming one of the most acclaimed acts on Monday Night RAW, even winning the RAW Tag Team titles on one occasion.

Their successful run came to a crashing halt with Orton suffering a back injury writing him off WWE television programming. Randy was last seen alongside Riddle in a losing effort against The Usos in a title unification match back in May.

Randy Orton has been rehabilitating ever since then and according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is major concern over the severity of The Viper’s injury despite months of taking time off. It was previously announced by the WWE that Randy had consulted with many orthopedic spine and neurosurgeons to have clarity on the extent of the damage to his back.

While many fans hoped that WWE’s Apex Predator would be back in the squared circle by now, there is no word or timetable for Randy Orton’s return at the moment.
