T20I World Cup Team India List: Arshdeep Singh Bags Maiden Call-Up For First Major ICC Tournament

T20I World Cup Team Team India List: All anticipations met its denouement as BCCI announced their 15-man squad for the biennial extravaganza which is all slated to unfold Down Under, later in October. After a disappointing run in the precursor edition of the tournament, India will be hoping to make a mark in the following edition of the fray that would witness the Men in Blue going in with some serious steam.

Rohit Sharma would continue to lead the team while KL Rahul will be serving as his deputy. Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav were the ones shouldered with the onus of steering the Indian middle-order while a few choices are to be made between Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik for the following positions.

Hardik Pandya was the obvious pick as the all-rounder but he will have to report to NCA for conditioning while India will be up against South Africa and Australia. Ravindra Jadeja had to be left out due to his knee injury for which he recently underwent a surgery and will be continuing with his rehabilitation process.

Ashwin was taken in the side to fill that void left by Jadeja, even though this isn’t exactly a like-for-like substitution. The ace off-spinner will be handling the spin department for the Men in Blue alongside Chahal and Axar Patel.

India will be reprieved to welcome back two of their ace quicks, Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel whose absence led to significant impact in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2022. Bhuvneshwar Kumar would continue to lead the Indian lines while Arshdeep Singh would be a part of his first major ICC event.

T20I World Cup Team India List:

Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik (wicket-keeper), Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.
