The final match of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to happen tonight at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Home team Gujarat Titans will play against inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals in the big final. Ahead of the grand game, Sanju Samson’s wife Charulatha Remesh has taken an indirect dig at the organizers of the grand league.
IPL 2022 started on March 26 with a match between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings and last season’s runners-up Kolkata Knight Riders. Before the game began, host broadcaster Star Sports showed an animated promo on TV.
Sanju Samson’s wife was wondering why there was no pink jersey in IPL promo
It was a race to the championship, but surprisingly, there was no player representing the Rajasthan Royals in that promo. There were representatives from all other nine franchises. After RR qualified for the final, team captain Sanju Samson’s wife Charulatha Remesh posted that image from March 26 on her Instagram story and wrote:
“Saw this animated video (of Star Sports) showing the race for IPL 2022 on the first day of IPL, and wondered why there wasn’t any pink jersey.”

Rashid Khan and Jos Buttler will be the key players in the IPL 2022 Final tonight
The IPL 2022 Final is all set to begin at 8:00 PM IST with more than 1 lakh fans expected to be in attendance at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The big battle will be the one between GT’s Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan and RR’s in-form England opener Jos Buttler.
Here’s what former Indian cricket team batter Sanjay Manjrekar had to say about that battle on ESPNCricinfo:
“Maybe try Rashid Khan against Buttler. He bowls stump to stump. Whenever Buttler has been in trouble, it has been with that line that has been straight on, into the stumps and full.”
