Gautam Gambhir likes multi-utility cricketers. Vipraj is a leg-spinner who can do more then brilliantly with the bat. Since Gambhir likes such players, Vipraj could get a chance. He seems to have a calm head on his shoulders and therefore, this could further help his case.
