Former Indian cricket team opener Aakash Chopra has opined that the Mumbai Indians team management must give a chance to their uncapped fast-bowling all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar in their last match of IPL 2022 against the Delhi Capitals. MI has been eliminated from the race to the playoffs in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
The team management has tried out many new players in recent matches, but despite being associated with the franchise for almost three years, Arjun Tendulkar has not received a chance to play. He was a net bowler for the team previously, while in IPL 2021, the Mumbai Indians handed him his maiden IPL contract.
He was released ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, but the Mumbai Indians re-signed him outbidding the Gujarat Titans at the auction. Since MI has been eliminated, it makes sense to try new players, but they have benched Tendulkar. Reacting to the way MI has benched Arjun, Aakash Chopra wrote on Twitter:

Rohit Sharma hinted at Arjun Tendulkar’s IPL debut against Delhi Capitals
In a brief interview at the toss of the match against SunRisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma hinted that Tendulkar could make his debut in the match against the Delhi Capitals. Here’s what he said:
“We want to look at certain players with an eye on next year. We want to have a look at them before making a decision for next year. We have one more game after this, and we can try a few more guys in that game.”
It will be interesting to see whether the Mumbai Indians team management gives a game to Tendulkar this year or makes him wait longer for his first IPL cap.
