Devon Conway heaps praise on MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni is a player who has got fans across the globe. Be it for his batting, captaincy, wicket-keeping or his character, there are many followers for the player. Along with this, Kiwi opener Conway spoke a few more things about MSD.

Regarding MSD quitting captaincy, Conway said, “I was wanting to play under MS – the great MS Dhoni as captain and I had a nice little chat with him. I said you’re sure you don’t want to captain one more season so I can play under you as captain? Then he said ‘no, I am always going to be around anyway.'”

On interacting with the stars in the CSK unit, the southpaw revealed, “It was really cool – a couple of days ago I had lunch and sat in between MS and Jaddu. It was really cool just to get to know them better. They are just normal men, normal guys just down to earth, no aura about them easy to get along with and easy to talk to. It’s been really good to interact with those two legends of Indian cricket.”

The Kiwi will be crucial to CSK’s plans

Devon Conway will play a crucial role for CSK in IPL 2022. He will replace Faf du Plessis, who was arguably the best batter for the franchise in the last few seasons. Since Conway is playing for the first time in IPL, it could be hard for him. However, he has shown previously that he has got the skills to excel here.
