Popular commentator Harsha Bhogle recently gave his views on MS Dhoni’s big decision to step down as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings team. As per Bhogle, the former CSK captain may not play all the matches in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Yesterday afternoon, the Chennai Super Kings issued an official statement confirming that all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will take over the reins of the CSK franchise from MS Dhoni. Jadeja will make his IPL captaincy debut this season.
Dhoni, who has retired from all formats of international cricket, only plays in the IPL. CSK retained him as their second retention ahead of the 2022 IPL season, and some fans feel that this might be his last season in the yellow jersey.
Harsha Bhogle has been a big fan of MS Dhoni, and last year, they had an interesting chat at the final post-match presentation of IPL 2021, where Dhoni confirmed that he did not leave his legacy behind just yet, thereby confirming he would play for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2022.
I don’t think MS Dhoni will play every game, either. Just like him: Harsha Bhogle
Taking to Twitter after reading the big news regarding the CSK captaincy change, Harsha Bhogle wrote:
Dhoni handing over the captaincy is big news (after all he is CSK!) but not entirely surprising given the person he is. I don't think he will play every game either. Just like him. (Will miss those wonderful presentations with him though!)

Chennai Super Kings will start their IPL 2022 campaign tomorrow evening against last year’s runners-up Kolkata Knight Riders in a rematch of last year’s final. It will be exciting to see how MS Dhoni plays in his new role for CSK team this year. Also, all eyes will be on Ravindra Jadeja’s captaincy because the all-rounder has never captained before.
