“MS Dhoni Drops More Surprises Than Life”- Twitter Reacts As Dhoni Steps Down As Captain 2 Days Before IPL 2022

MS Dhoni has a habit of surprising people and catching everyone off-guard. No one is ready to believe the things that he does although they seem simple things to do. Two years, he silently retired from all formats of international cricket with an IGTV video. Some fans even felt that Dhoni’s account was hacked as they were not ready to accept the retirement decision.

Now, MS Dhoni has made another big decision and that is to step down as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings team. Ravindra Jadeja will captain the Chennai-based franchise in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.

CSK issued an official statement on their website earlier today, which read as follows:

“MS Dhoni has decided to hand over the leadership of Chennai Super Kings and picked Ravindra Jadeja to lead the team. Jadeja, who has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings since 2012, will only be the third player to lead CSK. Dhoni will continue to represent Chennai Super Kings this season and beyond.”

Fans on Twitter get emotional as MS Dhoni will not lead Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2022

Dhoni has been the captain of the Chennai Super Kings team since the first edition of the Indian Premier League which happened in 2008. The wicket-keeper batter led the Chennai Super Kings to four IPL trophies and two Champions League T20 trophies.

It looks like the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League will be his last as captain, and so it is a dream ending for his captaincy career because the last match where he captained the Chennai Super Kings was leading the team to the Indian Premier League trophy in Dubai by defeating the Kolkata Knight Riders in the final match.
