Angry SRH Fan’s Suggestion To Team Goes Viral After Disappointing Show

It has been a disappointing Indian Premier League 2021 campaign for the Sunrisers Hyderabad team so far. Despite having the likes of David Warner, Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan, Manish Pandey and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the squad, the SRH franchise has struggled to get going in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. They could win only one of their seven matches in the first phase of the competition.

Fans were hopeful that SRH would perform better in the second phase of the tournament. Unfortunately, the same has not happened so far. Playing under the leadership of Kane Williamson, the Sunrisers Hyderabad first lost to the Delhi Capitals and then suffered a defeat in the game against the Punjab Kings. While DC outplayed SRH, the Orange Army could have defeated the Punjab Kings at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Punjab Kings beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in a last-over thriller

The match between the Punjab Kings and the Sunrisers Hyderabad was a low-scoring one. Notably, PBKS and SRH had a close match last year in the UAE as well, where the Punjab Kings managed to defend a low total against the Orange Army. The same thing happened this year, with the Punjab Kings successfully defending a 125-run score against the IPL 2016 winners.

Jason Holder fought like a one-man army for the team. However, his efforts went in vain. The Caribbean all-rounder picked up three wickets and conceded only 19 runs in his four overs during the first innings. He dismissed both openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal before dismissing all-rounder Deepak Hooda to complete his three-wicket haul.

In the second innings, the star-studded batting lineup of the Sunrisers Hyderabad faltered while chasing a 126-run target. Generally, batters enjoy playing at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. However, the Hyderabad-based franchise was down to 60/5 after 13 overs. Jason Holder then played a fantastic knock for his team.

The Caribbean batter smacked a 29-ball 47, smashing five maximums. However, he lacked support from the other end and the Orange Army ended their innings with 120/7 in 20 overs. After the match, an angry SRH fan suggested that the team was five batters and five bowlers short, not just five runs short.
