6 Wrestling Couples that split up but still worked professionally for same company

The business of professional wrestling often demands stars and behind-the-scenes personnel to be on the road for nearly 300 days. Therefore it has been a common practice for them to find love amongst each other in regards to spending time away from their world of people.

However, not all relationships have stood the test of time, and often witnessed these stars drifting apart, but continue to be professional co-workers, following the tradition of the ‘show must go on.’ Here are 6 couples in wrestling that have continued to work with each other after parting ways in their personal lives:

1. Finn Balor and Cathy Kelly

Finn Balor has been regarded as one of the most gifted athletes in WWE, while Cathy Kelly has served as a backstage interviewer and presenter for the company. The couple began dating back in 2017 and were notably spotted on numerous occasions including the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony with their relationship lasting for almost a year.

2. Lana and Miro

The dynamic duo of Lana and Miro came up through the ranks of WWE NXT and became a strong unit on the main roster during the mid-2010s. Moreover, they even found love with each other and got married in 2016. The Queen Charlotte Flair began dating Mexican star Alberto Del Rio following her main roster call-up in 2015. However, it lasted only for a brief tenure as Del Rio moved on to be with her PCB cohort, Paige. Despite that, Flair maintained a professional relationship with the former WWE Champion. But that didn’t last long as Del Rio exited the company sometime around 2017 while Flair went on to marry another Mexican star in Andrade El Idolo in 2022.

4 Dolph Ziggler and Dana Brooke

The unlikely duo of Dolph Ziggler and Dana Brooke came together sometime in 2015 when Brooke was still part of WWE NXT while Ziggler would make trips down there for his workout sessions and possibly spend time with her.

However, as soon as Dana Brooke made her way to the main roster in 2016, the couple decided to split but maintained a healthy working relationship. Moreover, they found themselves as co-workers once again after both joined TNA Wrestling in 2024 as two important acquisitions from WWE.

The duo even got engaged and were featured on Total Divas as well. But some time after, their wedding was called off and both moved on with their partners, Ryan Cabrera and Rhea Ripley, and even maintained their friendship till the time both were in WWE.

6 John Cena and Mickie James

The top star duo of John Cena and Mickie James reportedly dated each other during the late 2000s while Cena was still married. However, after their split James moved to the SmackDown brand and was eventually released in the same year.
