3 players who could make a surprise comeback to the Indian Test side in the coming months

Considering India has a long Test season lined up, in some cases, he could be forced to do that. 1) Hardik Pandya

With his injury record and importance in the white-ball formats, many have kept Hardik Pandya out of the equation for Tests. However, as per recent reports, BCCI has asked him to be ready for the longest format and in line with this, he is also likely to play in the Ranji Trophy.

A pace-bowling all-rounder can be of great use to the side in the SENA Nations. Since India has some tournaments lined up, Hardik Pandya could be back on the Test side very soon.

2) Navdeep Saini

Navdeep Saini is one of the players who could make a surprise comeback to the Test side. He has been decent in the recent Duleep Trophy. The fitness also looks very impressive.

Navdeep is one of the talents spotted by Gautam Gambhir. India has a long Test season and workload management is a key factor. While newbies like Harshit Rana could be preferred, someone like Navdeep Saini could also be in the fray. 3) Abhimanyu Easwaran

The West Bengal lad has yet again been brilliant at the domestic level. He is one of the highest run-getters in the 2024 edition of the Duleep Trophy. On multiple occasions in the past, he was with the Indian side. However, he never got a chance to make his debut.

As mentioned earlier, India has a long Test season in the pipeline. Hence, it is important to have the necessary backups. With Shubman Gill and KL Rahul donning roles in the middle order, they cannot be backup openers. Hence, Easwaran could get this opportunity.
